Weather vs Mankind

Weather vs. Mankind

Hail guns, as powerful as large as a grenade, sneaking to Lions Park. Tsunami bombs, as large as a tank, marching down Wattle Street. Hurricane mines, as powerful as lightning, riding towards our school.
Houses have collapsed, schools are smashed and power lines have fallen. Trees are fallen and they are scattered on the ground like leaves.
We armoured ourselves with gumboots coats and beanies.
With our sandbags we held the powerful flood back so it wouldn’t hurt any wildlife. We bounded through the debris and we protected the school with drains and gutters.
The weather pushed us to the edge of defeat but we overthrew them and we remained  victorious!!!

 WEATHER VS MANKIND

Marching from Karajini like cadets, we’re nearly there, we can see the battlefield, it’s nearly here, it’s about to hit us. Running like horses we run for the school, a flood of sandbags start covering our school for protection from the storm. Hail as loud as a gunfire, lightning as bright as the sun and floods rising like buildings. Trees have fallen, cliffs crumbling, buildings flattened and playground equipment torn down.

We use fallen trees as bridges over the pool puddles. With our umbrellas, raincoats, boots and beanies for armour we are ready to fight. All while we are fighting the weather is working up a storm of: hail bullets, spears of lighting, rain missiles, bombs of snow, gunpowder clouds and blasts of thunder.

We fought for our school today with pride and we bet the wind out of the storm, until it gets it back and comes for more.

Weather VS Mankind

Snowstorm Grenade, Lightning Blades,  Hurricane Ammo,  Gunpowder Tornado, Rain Missiles, Nuclear Tsunami, Sandstorm Jet, Heatwave Napalm and Rain missiles as deadly as death.

Nuclear tsunamis as big as the sun, lightning blades as fast as light, and heatwave napalm as hot as the sun.

Lightning blades, as quick as light, slicing down Tom Price – Paraburdoo road. Nuclear tsunamis, as big as the sun washing their way from the coast.
The Trees have fallen without leaves, roofs smashed, entire houses scarred with sandstorm sand.
We armour ourselves with jackets and beanies. With umbrella shields we get to safety unscarred. We dodge fallen trees and broken cars to get the battlefront.
We fought the best we could, it wasn’t enough, we were defeated...

Weather Warriors

Clouds as grey as gunpowder, glooming in from the coast. Lightning zapping the ground like tazers which is keeping everyone awake at night. The rain hitting the ground as hard as rocks, which is hard to escape.

No one’s around it’s just the power lines laying on the road with no movement.

We amour ourselves with nothing but a coat and gumboots to give us protection. We step outside with our umbrellas as shields, as we run to the nearest shelter. We scavenge to collect all the bits and pieces that stayed alive.

We fought for our school but Mother Nature won that time, but next time we will fight back with all we have!

Weather vs. Mankind

Snow, as strong as bombs crawling in pain from Paraburdoo one by one. We armour ourselves in coats and gumboots. With our sandbags and clothes we place them down to stop the flooding from the cyclone.

We tumble and turn though the rough cyclone we battle and race to the finish. Riffle of extreme heat, as hot as the sun, creeping towards Tom Price. Puddles of bullets as fierce as a tiger, staggering all the way to Tom Price Primary School.

Glass has broken, roofs have fallen and sand has blown away. Nothing in sight just dirt from the plains.
WE ARE YOUNG, STRONG AND MIGHTY WE FIGHT FOR OUR SCHOOL WITH COURAGE UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN….

Weather vs. Mankind

Weather vs. Mankind

The dust storm went off like a bomb, sand and dirt flying everywhere covering the huge terrain marching closer from Area W.
Sand and dirt spread everywhere and trees fallen on the ground.
Spears of lightning piercing the ground, running across the power lines, down Central Road.
We run for cover and put on our rain coats and protected ourselves with our umbrella shields and sand bagged the school.
We fought off the storm and became victorious!

Weather vs. Mankind

A tornado as strong as 5 grenades creeping from Area W.
Bullets of snow as strong as a horse walking in two straight lines nearly at Tom Price.

Lighting as strong as a tornado parachuting down Cringle Street from Tom Price.

Trees are breaking houses are falling everything is smashing. All that is left is glass and bricks that are getting picked up.

I go and fight with my umbrella, my shoes and with my beanie on we will fight to the end.

We fought strong and hard for our school until we meet again.

Weather vs Mankind

Weather vs. Man Kind

Dust Storm hitting the opponents legs like barbed wire as they crawled from Area W getting closer and closer to Tom Price Primary School. We used our umbrella shields to block off the dust. Spears of lightning blasts the buildings, as they marched down North Road. Snow as hard as shrapnel hit them as they staggered down Central Road.

The weather made playground equipment get torn down, all of buildings came down. L  After a while we picked up the falling equipment and nature and dragged them to shelter.

WE FOUGHT FOR TOM PRICE PRIMARY SCHOOL WE WERE FIERCE AND BRAVE UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN…….

Weather vs Mankind

Weather vs. Mankind
Rain and hail as loud as thunder were walking through Karajini. Lightning as sharp as spears falling from the sky. Acid puddles as deep as a pool.

Trees are used as bridges to get across the freezing cold puddles.

We protect ourselves with coats and beanies while we dodge the bullets of hail. We climb through all the fallen trees and surround the school with sand bags

We fought to the end till the battle was over until the next weather mission comes again.

Weather vs Mankind

Weather vs. Mankind

Lightning, hitting the ground like an air strike marching from Paraburdoo.
Thunder, as loud as atomic bombs blasting above our heads jogging through Mine Road.
The rain, hitting the backs of our legs like sharp missiles, crawling down Tamarind Street.

Windows have smashed, fallen power lines, roads washed out and tree roots exposed.

We shield ourselves with broken umbrellas from the wild wind and splintering rain.
We take cover under wood benches surrounded by sand bags that keep the flood water at bay.
As the rain dissipates we see trees lying on cars.

The devastation is over; everything is flat and silent…

                              There are no winners!

Weather vs Man Kind

Thunder, as loud as an atomic bomb, marching from the mine.
Lightning, as sharp as spears, parachuting from the service station.
Rain, falling like rockets, rushing down Willow Road.

Play grounds collapsed, roads cracked and
Classrooms’ blown to bits.

We prepared our umbrella shields.
With Coates and beanies we rebuilt playgrounds and checked for any survivors in the classrooms.

We sacrificed a lot of men but we neutralized the enemy… for now!

Weather vs Man Kind

   Weather vs Man Kind

Tidal wave tanks, as strong as a million armies rushing from Newman.
Snow bombs, as strong as a NUKE, sneaking past Paraburdoo.
Tornadoes turning up the dust hitting our skin like a gun, as sharp as one thousand knives striking down Mine Road.

Parks torn to bits, buildings exploded and our school flattened to the ground.

We equipped ourselves ready for battle.
Dodging the snow bombs, shielding ourselves from the tornado guns, and blasting the tidal wave tanks.
We ran to shelter and used the debris to rebuild the fallen
turrets, buildings and hospitals.

We fought with bravery and remain the winners.

The Rainy Day at Tom Price Priamary School

Rivers running

Away gently down the stream

In most towns but

Not in Tom Price everyday!

By Lily and Tristan

GIGANTIC GLORIOUS STORM

RAIN,

ALWAYS APPRECIATE THE RAIN

IN TOM PRICE

NEVER GO NEAR FLOODED CREEKS

YOU MIGHT DROWN!

BY AZAELIA, DARCY.T, AND JACANA

Flooded

Families houses are getting flooded,
Lots of mud,
Over the bridge gushing down,
On the bottom of our shoes,
Dripping wet!
Everywhere, making a huge mess,
Dreadful falling into the river that was formed.
