We also learnt about our feelings and how they Look, Sound and Feel but most of all we learnt about how we respond to other people we are feeling a particular way.

Positive responses to other people when we are feeling Mad, Sad or Hungry will always have a better outcome than responding in a negative way.

This week we will be learning about being the Best Friend we can be!  To get us started in our search for the Key Ingredients we will watch this video.

Now it is time to make our own Friendship Soup Recipe!

Inspiring Independent Research...

The New Dragon Rider

Annabeth was terrified of myths and legends.  They made her want to scream.  That was until she found Arya.  Arya? Who's that you might ask.  Well here's the answer, Arya is Annabeth's dragon.

Annabeth was riding Arya when suddenly they sensed the presence of another dragon.  Then she found Kat and Carter.  They all decided to go and try to defeat the turned dragon rider, Galbatorix.

On their way to meet Galbatorix, they had to hop off their dragons.  They ran quickly into a corner and as they turned the corner.
"Hello dragon riders!"  The shade Durza said maliciously.

The Puzzle

Creek!  Went the attic trap door as I climbed in carefully.  I was looking for an old story book for my little sister's show and tell.

A strange and powerful light started to flicker from behind a dusty crate.  I slowly pulled the crate out and tried to grab the source of the light.  I picked it up and it was a thousand piece puzzle.

I tried to drop it but my hands wouldn't let it go.  It was as if my hands were glued to it.  Suddenly my hand rapidly opened the box and made me puzzle the puzzle.

By the time Mum was calling me down for dinner, my hand had one corner piece left.  As I turned the corner piece I realised 'my' story was only just beginning!

The Scary Street

I'm scared to get out of my car in this scary street. The unknown shadow movements intimidates me to turn around and go home to my nice warm bed. The movement of bushes cast the scariest shadows of all time along with reflections of the old school crossing that's never been used.

It's very silent, the only sound is the rain dripping down from the drains on the roof of houses. Some of the lights are flickering in the pattern of a song. There is also a very steep hill that has a slippery slopped road. I started to do a U turn when I saw a man approaching my car. I was terrified and with out any hesitation I forced my foot onto the accelerator and zoomed home.

Magical Chocolate - 100 Word Challenge # 3

My Grandma and Aunt came over and I wanted to have something to eat. They both told me they have a present for me. I got so excited, I could not wait to open it. After begging and whinging for my present Aunty finally gave it to me. I slowly took off the wrapping paper. "yes! Its chocolates" I shouted with joy. It was a big box of assorted chocolates.

I had chocolates for breakfast lunch and dinner. After eating so many chocolates I had one left. I put the last chocolate in my mouth and took one bite, I couldn't believe the taste. It was disgusting but it said ‘sweet’ on the wrapper! I kept on chewing because I could feel a strange feeling. The chocolate was making me disappear. I screamed out to Mum for help. "Please help me! Can you hear me?". It was too late. I landed in space, how exciting is this I thought. It didn't take long before I bumped into Aliens. Yes I met Aliens, yes I did!

The Stone Couch - 100 Word Challenge # 2

I fell into a new world as I placed myself onto the concrete couch. I stood up and saw a man who looked like he was frightened to death. The strange thing was he was not alive, he was stone. As I looked around there were more stone people, 13 to be exact. "what happened here?" I said out loud.

A subtle voice came out from somewhere saying, "They were people who made mistakes and to pay for their mistakes they got turned into stone!" I noticed a cat that was stone as well, something drew me to it, suddenly it spoke, "come with me" he said.

Soon we were at the first sighting of the stone man. We saw Medusa lurking around behind the shadows of the stones. She is the Goddess who could turn people into stone. Wasn't long before she vanished into thin air.
