Jerry Cruises across Crete

Jerry toured Crete by car and he stayed in 3 different towns on the island.

Using your research skills find out what compass direction he travelled across Crete.  If you are keen to accept the challenge... Explain when there was a change in direction. Between what towns did this happen?

He begun his tour flying to the town of Chania then he travelled to Almirida and stayed one night.  He then travelled onto Elounda Bay.  He visited Agiios Nikolais and then travelled to Herakiloin so he could fly to Athens and then onto Istanbul - Turkey.
In Chania, Jerry could see the Venetian Harbour from his window.  The Venetians built the Lighthouse you can see in the background and the Egyptians rebuilt to look like you see it today.  Who are Venetians and Egyptians and were they doing in Crete - Greece?

It was Easter Sunday when Jerry was in Elounda Bay.  Research the history behind dyed eggs and why this tradition is important to the Greek people.
