Paris may often be referred to as the ‘City of Lights’ but since the attacks on Friday 13th it is the rest of the world offering light to Paris.
Historical monuments and buildings around the world – including the Sydney Opera House – have been lit up in the colours of the French flag in a show of support and love for Paris.
Many people lost their lives in the attacks that took place around the French capital on Friday night and many world leaders have offered their support and encouragement to France.
Along with the many monuments lit up in French colours, Facebook is supporting Paris by encouraging users to turn their profile pictures the colours of the flag: red, blue and white.
