Watch Caine's Arcade then design something from your imagination that you could make from cardboard boxes. Remember to give your design a title, label features of your design, materials list and write an explanation about how you can use it.


 

Technology and Enterprise Homework - Week 5

Room 5 are busy completing a Technology and Design Task.  To encourage some of their technology and design thinking, they are viewing Caine's Arcade story and answering the following questions for homework.

1. List Caine’s Inventions. 2. List the materials he used. 3. What lessons can be learnt from Caine’s arcade? 4. Create a list of questions you would like ask Caine (the questions must be about design and materials). Invent a realistic yet more profitable way to manage Caine’s Arcade. 1. Would you charge an entry fee? 2. Would you charge a price per game? 3. How would you manage prizes? 4. How much will the prizes cost? 5. Now calculate your costs and profits for a day at Caine’s Arcade.

Singing Your Praises

I just want to tell room 5 what an absolute pleasure it was to have them in the Art room today.

The were amazingly attentive, organised and positive. Their behaviour and attitude to each other and their work was fantastic.

Room 5, we are going to make and create some art magic this year with such BIG attitudes to work.
