Clouds as grey as gunpowder, glooming in from the coast.
Lightning zapping the ground like tazers which is keeping everyone awake at
night. The rain hitting the ground as hard as rocks, which is hard to escape.
No one’s around it’s just the power lines laying on the road
with no movement.
We amour ourselves with nothing but a coat and gumboots to
give us protection. We step outside with our umbrellas as shields, as we run to
the nearest shelter. We scavenge to collect all the bits and pieces that stayed
alive.
We fought for our school but Mother Nature won that time,
but next time we will fight back
with all we have!
