On the 14^th of May 2014 I woke up in the morning. I woke up at 6:30am. I was too tired to ride to school but I had too because my Mum was still asleep and Dad was in Perth. 

I got to school at 7:20am and had left at 7:10am because I went to my fish friends house. Her name is Makalah she is my 3^rd best friend. She is 12 years old, her favourite colour is sky blue, she lives in Tom Price. 

Makalah always gets a smile on my face! I hang out with her every day but Tuesdays. I don’t hang out with her on Tuesday and Thursdays because I have to hang out with Ebony!

NAPLAN

On Tuesday morning year 3, 5 and 7’s did their first NAPLAN test for the year. The year 6 and 7’s did a NAPLAN test but the year 6’s just did a test similar. The first NAPLAN test that we had to do was Language Conventions. This had spelling and grammar and punctuation.

Mrs Rolton and Ms Gardiner gave everyone their test and a pencil and rubber. She told us the rules and gave us a set amount of time which was 45 minutes. So I opened my book with all the questions in there and started. Spelling was first up which I felt confident about. I think I am good at spelling so I knew I could do most of it. I flipped through the spelling section really fast then the next section was Grammar and Punctuation. Grammar and Punctuation was ok but felt like it had a million questions and didn't end at all! 

After the Language and Convention NAPLAN test it was the Writing test. We had to write an argument about what rule or law we should change to make things better. I did two pages and did a good job. Well I thought I did a good job!!! 

Keoni's Sporty Afternoon

At 3:30pm yesterday afternoon, Mum drove me to the Clem Thompson Oval to go to tee-ball practice. I am in seniors this year and my coach is a Canadian. His name is Al Lind…. But we have to call him coach.

At tee-ball, we did the star drill, throwing and catching and batting. This year I got a new bat. It is an Orange Easton bat that is 30inches. It is a really good bat! Then, at 4:30pm when we finished, I had to rush to the car because I had tap dancing.

When I arrived there, I put my tap shoes on and got into line for the warm up. Then we went into our positions for our first dance in our concert, Proud Mary. We have got three quarters of the way into that dance but we still have another dance with the song ‘Hound Dog’ that I have never heard in my life.

At 5:30pm we finally finished and my legs were aching from standing for 2 hours. When I got home, I fed Talei, my sister who is 2. I went on my ipad, had a shower, had dinner and then I went to bed.

It was a great afternoon of sport, but I think I would rather have a bit of a break in between. J

NAPLAN Test

My NAPLAN Experience

On Wednesday the 14th of May 2014 my class room 5 was doing NAPLAN the reading test. 

It was good reading all the texts and completing the questions I didn't like the writing questions they were hard.

When I was up to the 39th question I forgot to read the text so I quickly read the text and changed my answer. The test was so long it went for 65 minutes but I finished in half a hour and had a sleep.

After I had my sleep it was 10:10am and that’s when the test ended so I was happy and hungry so I spent the rest of my day doing normal school day stuff until the next day when I did the numeracy  NAPLAN test.

The Naplan test was boring for me and many outhers.

Journal Writing

On Monday 12 May 2014 I woke up, got out of bed and decided to get ready for school. It was hard for me to get ready because I was so tired. I left my house and arrived at school.

I walked into the class room and sat in my chair. The day was interesting because it was quiet when I got in the class.  I think yesterday was a good day.  

When I got home I started to do my awesome speech, I finished my speech and I  had a rest from my homework and I was resting on the couch for the rest of the night.

On Monday 12^th of May I woke up and got ready for school. When I got to school it started. I got out my writing book and started to write.

At Recess my friend and I didn't play at all, all we did was eat our lunch. When we got back to class we had to do a lot of work.

After lunch we had to make our homework book better and put work in it .After school I went home and did my homework and after diner I watched TV.  At 8:30pm I went to bed and this is what I did on Monday 12^th of May.

Picnic Day

Picnic Day

Hi I'm Remy and I'm telling you about my day at the picnic day at Tom Price.

When I first got to the picnic day it was very busy so I got some food from the roadies van it was very nice. After I ate I saw my friends and asked them if they want to play laser tag. When we played the laser tag it was hard so my team lost.

Second thing I did was play at the little arcade area it was fun with the pinball and racing games. Then I went to the Disney area and go on the bouncy castle it was fun.

The third thing I did was to go home and check on the dogs after that I grabbed my key and went back to picnic day. Then it was me and Bradley there so we just went to the photo booth and the twister area and did that for the rest of the night.

So that was my recount and I hope you enjoyed it, as it was the funniest day of this year so far!!!

First Tee-Ball Game of the 2014 Season

First Tee-ball game not getting hit 2014.

On Saturday the 10^th I had my first Tee-ball game of the year I played at 9:45am of course we won 13 to 20.

Here is how it went well at my first training I got hit in the head by a ball that one of my team mates threw, it hurt but luckily my first game I didn't  get hit which is good.

The Tee-ball game was really fun it seemed like a very close game I got I think it was 2 or 3 out and I got out I think the same but we won I had heaps of fun so did everyone else.

The boys were away so my Mum was the only one watching me that was fine.

Mothers Day Bash

I played in the Mothers Day Golf Bash it was fun, it raised more than $500 for Breast Cancer in Australia.

Everyone had a great day my Dad organised the program and I was the youngest to play. We played ambrose which is both players tee of and we choose the best drive out of them.

Secondly, then we played Canadian which is, I go then my partner goes and so on. We played 18 holes it was a big task but we made it just.

Thirdly, then we played best out of 2 both of us played the hole whoever got the highest score we put on the score card. That comp was hard but I got though it.

Picnic Day 2014

Picnic Day 2014

At 3pm, on Friday afternoon, I got dressed and prepared to go to my best friend Chloe’s house. After I went to Chloe’s house for a little we were going to go to Picnic Day together.

When we arrived at Picnic Day, we went to the arcade first. We went on the car racing game. First off I was coming first… but then I thought it said wrong way so then Chloe passed me and I lost. Just as we finished our game, Taylah came over to us so we went to the photo booth.

For most of the night, I spent the time at the photo booth with Chloe, Jenaya, Taylah, Toby, Macca, Freya, Abbey and a couple of others. I have around 10 of the photo strips from the night. At around 7pm, I walked home with my parents and two sisters. We arrived home at quarter past 7. Marley and I had showers while Talei, my youngest sister, went straight to bed. After showers, we got in to our pjs and waiting for the time to come of when we would go outside to wait for the fireworks.

At 8pm, my family, except for Talei, went to watch the fireworks. As the fireworks were going up on the hill down the street they were very close and loud. They were very colourful and lit up the sky. I had a great time with all my friends and I can’t wait until the Nameless festival.
